Yuganti Lokhande

For Yuganti, rural India has never been a project—it has been her inheritance, her classroom, and her passion.

The daughter of Pradeep Lokhande—popularly known as the Postcard and Library Man of India—she grew up in a home where postcards connected thousands of villagers to opportunity, and libraries brought knowledge to children in the remotest schools. Having lived, breathed, and learnt rural life since the day she was born, Yuganti knew early on that rural India was going to be her path too.

Today, she carries forward that legacy as the COO of Rural Relations, powered by Prowess Selling Skills Pvt. Ltd.—an organisation her father founded and where she has been an integral part for the last seven years. rural relations has one of India’s largest rural networks, covering 13+ states, 49,000 villages, and two-thirds of the country’s rural consumers, partnering with 49+ leading brands like Fleetguard, WNS, Madhavbaug, Colgate, Lifebuoy, ZEE, and Shemaroo.

At the heart of this work lies Gyan-key, India’s largest rural reading initiative. The program now reaches 6,000+ schools across 8 states, nurturing curiosity and learning for millions of children.

In 2024, she co-founded Do Little & Gain More and Bharat Beat with her partner, Yash:

  • Do Little & Gain More: Advisory that helps startups grow across social media, content, and rural market penetration.
  • Bharat Beat: A culture & consumer insights platform born from a 180-day road trip across 21 states, 97+ cities, and 95+ towns & villages.
  • Conducted 6,000+ interviews and 2,000+ surveys to decode India’s ground realities.
  • Created a 10+ culture code segmentation of Gen Z & millennials using MECE frameworks for GTM strategy.
  • Executed UGC-led content and awareness funnels in Tier 3–4 regions.
  • Identified regional intelligence in content preferences (religious/informational short-form in NE & South India).
  • Diagnosed emerging needs like digital-pay trust gaps and learning-as-a-service.

An alumna of Fergusson College, Yuganti has visited 670+ villages and 20+ countries, making her equally at home in a rural school or an international cultural conference.
